Plan around single-player

Steam lists single-player; no co-op announcement was found in the reviewed sources. Treat a shared colony as an unconfirmed feature when deciding how you want to play.

Terms that answer different questions

Single-player

Describes a session built around one player. The number of characters visible in that world is a separate matter.

Co-op

Would let multiple people participate in shared gameplay. To judge it, you need details such as player count, local or online support, and how joining works.

Family Sharing

Appears among Steam’s listed features, but concerns library access. It does not establish that two players can enter the same colony.

How to evaluate a co-op claim

Look for an explicit developer description of another human player joining a session. A group of characters following commands, two names in a video title or a community request does not answer that question.

If support is announced later, check the version and platform as well as the mode. Online co-op, local shared-screen play and a planned experiment are different commitments.

Common play-mode questions

Can two people join the same Family Time Game colony?

The reviewed sources do not document a shared player session. Do not plan a co-op purchase around footage of multiple colony characters.

Does Family Sharing mean multiplayer?

No. Library sharing and simultaneous play inside the same game are different features. Check the game's own play-mode description for co-op support.

Do worker commands imply online players?

A command system describes how you direct characters. On its own, it says nothing about lobbies, invitations, networking or a second player joining.

Could co-op arrive in a later build?

It is not a confirmed commitment in the sources reviewed. A future announcement would need to specify the supported mode and version before this guide changes its answer.
